Procrastinating Rest

With many projects and personal goals pending, I decided to use today as a day of rest. I almost did absolutely nothing but lounge around all day in sweat pants and a hoodie. I could have, and probably should, washed the dishes or at least tidied up the place, but I didn't.

What I did do was wear wrist braces and read about different cultures and religions. Mainly because its time to learn about other belief systems outside of the Abrahmic religions. Another reason could be because I could not feel my arms or stay focused past two moments of time. Either way as a Christian, I feel, it would be good to know the origins and basic beliefs that are or can be considered wholly deviant from the Bible.

A couple of years ago I got in an argument about women's health and the government in regards to mainstream Christianity and Wicca beliefs. I do not remember how the argument proceeded, but in the end I believe we decided to agree to disagree.  I like to stand for what I believe in, so that was a very hard thing for me to do.

I like to find the truth of things in the midst of popular social and political world views and mindsets in regards to all things. Its either a spectrum, a complex and ornate web of point of views, or black and white, wrong in the eyes of all. However, at the time I was not willing to risk being misinformed or misinforming others for the sake of my pride (the argument took place in front of a group of people from all walks of life and beliefs, an open forum of diversity).

To this day I feel like I fell short when the time came. I feel that I should have known where they were coming from. Instead I knew little to nothing about Wicca. Aside from general mythology, I know little to nothing about paganism or polytheism.

Oh well. I'm off to do battle in the lands of Skyrim.
